This philosophy is rooted in the Japanese concept of "Kaizen," which emphasizes steady, incremental progress over time. Our mission is to guide golfers of all levels on a path of consistent growth, helping them unlock their full potential both on and off the course.

Founded by Master Golf Instructor David Heinen, Kaizen Golf Academy brings over 35 years of experience in developing professionals, collegiate athletes, top juniors, and dedicated amateurs. David's accolades include being ranked among the Top 50 Junior Elite Teachers in 2016 and the Top 25 in 2017. His passion for the game and dedication to his students have led him to mentor some of the very best on tour. David's expertise is further enriched by his own experience as a Division I collegiate golfer and professional player.

David Heinen is the founder and Master Golf Instructor at Kaizen Golf Academy, bringing over 35 years of experience coaching golfers at every level—from beginners to Tour professionals. A former Division I collegiate and professional golfer, David has earned national recognition as a Top 50 Junior Elite Teacher (2016) and Top 25 Junior Elite Teacher (2017). Known for his personalized, results-driven approach, he has developed top-ranked juniors, collegiate athletes, and successful pros. David’s coaching philosophy is rooted in the Kaizen principle of continuous improvement, helping every player reach their full potential through structured, progressive training.

Ed Billings is the Lead Group and Junior Camp Instructor at Kaizen Golf Academy, bringing extensive experience as both a competitive golfer and dedicated coach. With a background in junior and collegiate-level play, Ed has spent many years mentoring young athletes, emphasizing not only skill development but also the cultivation of sportsmanship, teamwork, and respect for the game.

His coaching philosophy centers on simplifying the fundamental movements of the golf swing, tailored to how players of varying experience levels perceive these movements. This approach fosters a positive learning environment where juniors can thrive both on and off the course. Ed's commitment to excellence is further demonstrated by his recent KGA certification under the guidance of renowned Top 25 Junior Elite Instructor, David Heinen
